The NSW Department of Planning and Environment have released an app for android users that allows you to explore Plant Community Types out in the field. Plant Community Types are the finest scale of classification under the NSW vegetation classification hierarchy which impacts planning and assessment tools and management programs.
The tool shows you current Plant Community Types as well as a layer that shows you what the community would have been before it was cleared. Designed for landholders, planners and local communities, it is unfortunately not available for apple users.
