The National Firefighter Journal, a dedicated publication for personnel involved in fire fighting across Australia recently published an article on an NGO leading the way in building community and environmental resilience.
The Nature Conservation Council of NSW’s (NCC) Bushfire Program promotes ecologically sound fire management policy and planning through community workshops, conferences and representation on bush fire management committees across the state.
The Bushfire Program has been actively involved in fire management, bushfire education and advocacy for sustainable land policy since 1979, disseminating peer-reviewed science and encouraging knowledge exchange between fire and land management agencies, scientists, conservationists and community members.

The journals main drive is to support Firefighters through knowledge sharing as well as spotlighting recent research coming from established leaders in the fire space. They believe in providing the best current Firefighting information to all Australian Firefighters. Other articles throughout the journal place focus on important topics such as fire related mental health and stories of recent overseas deployment.
