The Centre of Excellence for Prescribed Burning has published a new book, Prescribed Burning in Australasia: the science, practice and politics of burning in the bush. Over 50 authors have contributed to this latest take on the complexities of prescribed burns with a detailed look at the social context of burning in Australia, scientific analysis of different burning strategies and the research on how fire should be used in the Australian landscape.

Launched on the 28th of May 2020, the book was edited by CRC CEO Dr Richard Thompson, Dr Adam Leavesley from the ACT Parks and Conservation Service, and Mike Wouters from SA Department of Environment and Water and includes chapters from top fire experts from around Australia including Dr Ross Bradstock and Dr Owen Price from the University of Wollongong.
